Sick Llama’s side of this split tape is machinistic noise performance with a workers’ vibe—it sounds like the sound of grueling toil, which is pretty brutal. Explosions, massive creaking, and distorted squeals punctuate a noisy stasis that evokes steam and molten metals.
Trapdoor Tapes mainstay Mshing’s side is a bit less evocative and more of a tempest. There are occasional voices amidst the harsh and unbroken wall of sound, but mostly this is just blasting away until it abruptly cuts to a more staticky, eternal drone piece.
